COBLESKILL - Troopers from the New York State Police arrested a man on Monday for allegedly assaulting two state workers who were attempting to assist his girlfriend.
According to police, William Nelson struck the Department of Social Service employees with a crutch, pulled their hair, and pushed them both to the ground.
Police say Nelson, 30, was attempting to prevent the workers from providing a ride for his handicapped girlfriend.
Nelson was charged with two counts of assault, obstructing governmental administration, and harassment.
He was remanded to Schoharie County Jail
